New Haven man charged with DUI on Route 69

A New Haven man was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence. He was suspected when he allegedly failed to obey a control signal on Route 69 in Bethany.

According to police, 33-year-old Hayden W. Bernard was operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The incident took place at 2:43 a.m. on Feb. 16. Bernard was busted by Connecticut State Police from Troop I.

Bernard was charged with DUI and was given a ticket for failure to obey a control signal. He was released on a $500 non-surety bond. He was further scheduled to appear in court on March 4 for further proceeding.
