Is it Unnecessary to Hire an Attorney for a Speeding Ticket?
Interviewer: Do people say its overkill to hire an attorney for just a speeding ticket or a stop sign ticket?
Jack: It might be, it all depends on what the attorney’s charging. We keep our fees reasonable. You have to just evaluate what it’s worth to you.
If we’re charging a low of $200.00 and a high of $500.00 on most motor vehicle offenses, we think it’s beneficial to do it to hopefully avoid the points, avoid the insurance premium increase and not have to waste have your day in a long line at the courthouse.
Interviewer: It seems to me like a no-brainer. If my insurance is going to go up for three years because of points and I have to take off work and all that, it definitely sounds worthwhile to hire an attorney.
Jack: When I am at traffic court and I see 250 people in line, I’m thinking, “Why would you spend your whole day on something that I can help them take care of for $200?”
