35-year-old woman charged with DUI after crashing into mailbox
MILFORD – On Saturday evening, 35-year-old Cara Schell was taken into custody after she struck a mailbox as she was driving under the influence of alcohol.
On Monday, a release issued by police spokesman Officer Joseph Dempsey showed that the accident occurred around 6 p.m. on Saturday near the intersection of Stone Manor Drive and West River Street.
According to the police, Schell was intoxicated and was asked for a breath sample which she refused to give.
She was charged for DUI and released from custody after posting a $500 bail.
She is summoned to Milford Superior Court on 9th of June.
It is not yet confirmed whether she sustained injuries in the crash and whether she hired a lawyer or not.
