NAUGATUCK – On Thursday, 47-year-old Lynette Akey was taken into custody after cops in Naugatuck saw her driving under the influence of alcohol with a juvenile passenger and a stun gun in her car.
A release by Naugatuck police published Friday showed that the woman was taken into custody after a witness reported a suspicious car in a school parking lot.
The witness who reported the incident to the police at about 1:20 p.m. told that a woman was sitting in a car at Hillside Elementary School and was consuming alcohol.
Police was searching for her when a cop found Akey driving on Meadow Street, so he stopped her. The cop searched her motor vehicle and found a stun gun; he also noticed that she was under the influence.
Akey, who is a resident of Bella Vista Apartments in New Haven, faced several charges including:
Her bail was set at $3,000 and she was released from jail after posting it.
She was summoned to Waterbury Superior Court on 22nd of June.
