DUI Driver Tries To Leave Eatery By Heading Down 7-Foot Incline

FAIRFIELD – 54-year-old Judy Badeau, of Barberry Road, was arrested for driving under the influence after she tried to drive away from a Post Road restaurant Friday afternoon.

Badeau’s vehicle was spotted by an officer on patrol about 4:30 p.m. when it was stuck atop a curb behind Geronimo’s, 2070 Post Road. However, Badeau kept trying to move the car forward, spinning its tires.

According to the report, Badeau was trying to exit the restaurant driveway. She had apparently gone through the lot, over the curb, and was trying to head down a 7-foot incline onto North Pine Creek to make the exit.

When the officers approached, they noticed that her speech was slurred and she failed field sobriety tests.

She was charged with driving under the influence and was later released after posting a $100 bond.

Badeau was scheduled to appear at state Superior Court in Bridgeport on 10 November.
