Connecticut Man Facing Drunken Driving Charges For Crashing With Two Young Daughters In Car

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – A Connecticut man is facing drunken driving charges after he crashed his vehicle with his two young daughters in the car.

Bridgeport police gave details about the incident stating that they responded to a crash on Friday night. When they reached the accident spot, they found a vehicle that had gone off the road. The vehicle’s airbags had deployed.

Two girls were in the rear seat, aged 3 and 6 years. They were travelling without car seats. The older girl suffered some bruises and was treated at the scene.

33-year-old Hector Moreno, of Bridgeport, the father of the girls and the driver of the vehicle, was arrested on several charges including driving under the influence and risk of injury to children.

According to police reports, the father had been drinking with co-workers before he picked up the girls from summer camp. His blood alcohol level was recorded at 0.12 percent.

He was arrested but was later released on $25,000 bond.
